We recently completed a small powder room renovation and today I’m sharing the details and sources of this updated space.
For this simple makeover we updated the tile, paint, vanity, faucet, mirror, light fixture, and the hand towel ring.
The wall color is Sherwin Williams Peppercorn. We wanted something dark and moody for this space and Peppercorn was perfect for that.
I spent a lot of time looking at vanities before landing on this gorgeous wood vanity with marble top. I knew I wanted something petite for this smaller space, and I wanted details. The mirror was another item on my list that I spent quite a bit of time selecting. I knew with brass finishes I wanted the mirror to have a different finish to break up the brass a bit. I was hoping to find something that would compliment the brass and tie in with the vanity. I found this beautiful arch metal wall mirror here.
For the faucet I saw this antique brass style faucet and loved the shape. It also had an excellent price point. The quality of the faucet itself is great considering the price, though I should mention we did end up replacing the drain that came with it (minor leaking). A common problem I read in the reviews beforehand, and it was not too difficult for us to select a matching drain that met our needs. Even with purchasing a separate drain the value was still really good.
I was looking for something classic and traditional for the light fixture, and went with this Safavieh Brass 3 Light Wall Sconce. The finish had a slightly more orange hue than I had hoped for (review photos prepared me for this possibility however), but I loved the shades and shape enough that I decided to keep it. It is also a great value at under $100.
