Designer Look For Less

Decorating a home can quickly become expensive, especially when starting from scratch. When searching for elements to add into my own home, I typically will search for higher end items first and then spend a little time looking for more cost effective options that have a similar style or feel. Oftentimes there are beautiful options available for more budget friendly prices. I’ve put together a look that will give you a designer feel for a fraction of the cost.

The design centers around this Evelynn Console Table from Wayfair. This gorgeous table is nearly identical to the Thaddeus Glass Console Table from Restoration Hardware. While $600 isn’t exactly inexpensive for a console table, it is certainly a nice savings compared to it’s designer look-a-like.

When styling this console table, I chose pieces from both Amazon and Wayfair. I started with this abstract canvas painting in the 24″ x 36″ size. It has a price tag of $87.99 which is great for the size of the piece. After landing on this painting I wanted to find a lamp that would compliment both the painting and console table. I really liked the textured look of this ceramic table lamp and the price of $78.99 seemed reasonable. Next I wanted to find a few smaller objects to finalize this vignette. I loved the look of this hammered brass bowl and felt it would look nice along with this mother of pearl decorative box. Both pieces are $45 or less and similar options on other websites go for quite bit more. Lastly, decorating with books is always a good idea. This Made For Living hardcover book was the perfect final piece for this designer inspired look.
