3 Ways To Style A Sitting Area

I’ve curated a few different options for sitting areas using pieces from Wayfair.com. Sitting areas can be functional and also a great way to add character and style to a small space in your home. I searched for chairs, rugs, accent tables and lighting to help pull these looks together. Many of the pieces you’ll see are currently on sale, making these looks affordable and easy to bring into your own space.

I immediately loved these woven back chairs when I saw them. I like the texture they bring to the space, and for under $600 for the pair, they’re a pretty great deal. I found this Margot Performance Ocean/Spice rug and felt like it complimented the chairs really well. From there I searched for lighting, a side table, and artwork to finish out this space. The Crawley End Table has a reclaimed capiz shell that is so unique. I felt like it would work well with the Jillian Wallchiere sconces and this Great Blue Heron framed canvas. Finally, I added these Fogg Embroidered Pillows.

Next up, I was in search of pieces that could bring a little bit of color to a sitting area. I am admittedly a huge fan of neutrals, but color is also equally as wonderful. This design brings color in without making the space feel too overwhelming. This Pratt Performance rug in rust/blue adds soft color to the look, while these Adiza Wingback Armchairs throw in just the right pop of blue. I came across this small antique brass side table and knew I had to add it to the design. For the final pieces I chose this charming Embellished Antique Heron Print, this simple Joel Flush Mount light, and these Bova Tassel Pillows.

For the final option, I was in search of warm tones to create a rich and classic look. I kept this design pretty simple, starting with this Amber Lewis x Loloi Billie rug. The deeper tone of this rug inspired me to select darker wood furniture pieces to pair with it. I really liked the design of these Lark Manor Chairs, the rich wood and and creamy upholstery have a modern yet traditional feel. Once I found the chairs, it was time to find an accent table to add to the space. This Muscogee End Table felt like the perfect fit. I love the chunky pedestal, and the price (around $200) seemed very reasonable. When I came across this Laurie Semi Flush Mount light, it was instantly love. This light is absolutely gorgeous, and a steal at less than $150. Lastly, these Riey Geometric Throw Pillows added just the right amount of color to the design.

And there you have it! 3 looks for any sitting area curated using pieces from Wayfair. Which look is your favorite? Would you recreate any of these in your own home?
